This NEW programme is designed for year 7-10 players, to advance their skills beyond their current skill-set, with guidance from different experienced coaches each day, including Debbie Christian (Née White), Sue Tapene, Robin Manihera, Donna Erceg and Julie Bennett
Debbie Christian's playing career spans some of the sport’s highest levels, including the Silver Ferns Squad, NZ A, the World 7 Team, Northern Mystics, Southern Steel, Auckland NPC, and long service with the Otago Rebels. She has also contributed as a coach, including roles as Auckland NPC Assistant Coach, Auckland U19 Assistant Coach, Saint Kentigern Premier Coach, and Northern Mystics Community Lead.
Over the past 60 years, Sue Tapene has dedicated countless hours as a player, coach, selector, and mentor, making a lasting impact on Netball. Sue's extensive coaching career includes coaching at various schools and clubs over the years, such as Baradene, Saint Kentigern and St Cuthbert's. As well as Auckland Netball's U19 representative team and the Diamonds Development Squad.
Robin Manihera is our very own Auckland Netball Coach Developer. Robin spends her time helping other coaches around the Auckland region develop and grow, using her many years of coaching expertise.
Donna Erceg is an experienced netball coach across school, club, and representative levels. She has led the Auckland Girls Premier team for three years, guiding them back to A Grade at UNISS and Premier 1 at Auckland Netball in 2024. At Panmure Netball Club, she coaches the Premier 1 team after previously leading Premier 2. She has long contributed to Auckland Netball’s representative programme and was recently appointed head coach of the U18‑2 team. Donna’s professionalism, leadership, and dedication make her a highly effective coach in youth‑development environments.
Julie Bennett has coached Carlton Netball's Premier 1 & 2 teams and has contributed to Auckland Netball’s Representative programme over various years. Julie has additionally coached at Premier School level across two seasons, in 2007 and 2016. In 2024, she returned to the Auckland Netball Representative programme, leading the U16-1 team and bringing her extensive experience and passion back to developing the next generation of athletes.
