Teacher Aide / Learning Coach

We are an integrated Catholic girls’ college for Year 9–13 in the beautiful Hawke’s Bay. An opportunity exists for a Learning Coach/Teacher Aide to join our Learning Enhancement Team for 25 hours per week starting 9 February 2026. The position is part-time, fixed-term and reviewable annually as funding is reviewed by the Board of Trustees.

The role is to support literacy and social skills in the classroom, working across a range of curriculum areas. Previous experience would be beneficial.

The successful applicant will be flexible, computer literate, patient and have an interest in working with teenagers, in a culturally responsive way.

Excellent literacy and numeracy skills are essential. The ability to assist as a reader/writer for students during NCEA examinations and internal assessments is a definite advantage.It would also be advantageous to have previous experience of working with young people in an educational setting, however, training will be available.

Support for the special character and co-curricular life of the school is expected.
