Teacher Aide / Learning Coach

We are an integrated Catholic girls’ college for Year 9–13 in the beautiful Hawke’s Bay. An opportunity exists for a Learning Coach/Teacher Aide to join our Learning Enhancement Team for 10 hours per week (Term time only) starting 20 April 2026. The position is fixed-term until 6 November 2026 and reviewable annually as funding is reviewed by the Board of Trustees.

The role is to support literacy and social skills in the classroom, working across a range of curriculum areas. Previous experience would be beneficial.

The successful applicant will be flexible, computer literate, patient and have an interest in working with teenagers, in a culturally responsive way.

Excellent literacy and numeracy skills are essential. The ability to assist as a reader/writer for students during NCEA examinations and internal assessments is a definite advantage. It would also be advantageous to have previous experience of working with young people in an educational setting; however, training will be available.

Support for the special character and co-curricular life of the school is expected.
