GENERAL MANAGER - Pandora Fruean
Pandora Fruean is a passionate and experienced sports leader who brings over 20 years of expertise across grassroots and high-performance environments. A proud Pasifika woman and strong advocate for inclusive leadership, she has a deep commitment to empowering athletes, coaches, and communities within Aotearoa and beyond.
Her career spans multiple sports including canoe slalom, rugby, baseball, and athletics, as well as major international events such as the London Olympic Games, World Masters Games, FIFA Women’s World Cup, FIBA and Rugby World Cups. Pandora brings a diverse and holistic perspective to sport leadership, with a strong focus on athlete wellbeing, system development, and community impact.
As General Manager of Canoe Slalom New Zealand, Pandora is focused on supporting athlete and coach success, strengthening pathways, and building trusted relationships with stakeholders across the sport system. Her goal is to increase participation, grow the visibility of Canoe Slalom in Aotearoa, and help New Zealand athletes continue to shine on the world stage.
