Outdoor Curling Tournaments 2026

Meetings: Friday, 27th March

Outdoor dates will depend on ice conditions. If unfavourable, they will be postponed a week.

Nicolson Trophy: Wednesday 17th June 2026 (TBC)
Idaburn Trophy: Alexandra, Friday, 24th July 2026 - Teams selected by Council Presidents
Stewart McKnight Memorial: Naseby, Friday, 24th July 2026
If there has not been a Bonspiel, the Idaburn Trophy and Stewart McKnight Memorial will be followed by a 'Beef and Greens'.

Idaburn Curling Council: Oturehua Hall, 7 pm, Friday 27th March
Macrae Trophy: Alexandra, late May - late June - Top eight teams qualify for Finals Day
Loper Challenge: TBC
Jerry Sanders Trophy: Alexandra, Sunday evenings (TBC) - Knockout tournament.
Other Idaburn Council competitions are arranged between the Clubs. Such matches include the John Webb Memorial Challenge, Poolburn Cup, Webster Cup, Wilson Cup, Brown Shield, Robert Mee Cup, Frank Pyle Cup, Wilson Rose bowl, and Jennings Cup.

Naseby Curling Council AGM: Oturehua Hall Supper Room, 7 pm Friday 27th March
Hore Cup: Naseby Ice Rink, (TBC) - Designed to encourage new members of the clubs. Monday 15th June (tbc)
Dowse Trophy: Naseby Ice Rink, (TBC) - Knockout tournament, Thursday 25th June (tbc)
Baxter Cup: TBC, One-day tournament - Two teams per club, two games each, on natural ice.
President's Trophy: TBC, One-day tournament - Two teams per club, intended for the President / VP to skip the team.
Other Naseby Council competitions are arranged between the Clubs. Such matches include the Brown Trophy, Shea Shield, Black and White Cup, and Rose Bowl Cup.
