Year 5 to 7 Pre-Season Programmes

This programme is designed for new to returning players in the positional netball format (GS, GA, WA, C, WD, GD, GK) *year 5 & 6 will be positional 6-aside (no WD) in 2026.

This programme is available for male & female participants to engage in. 

Sessions will be delivered with a focus on ball, footwork & movement skills alongside game play to prepare players for the upcoming season.

Year 9 to 13 Pre-Season Programmes

Netball Hutt Valley will be offering a pre-season development programme for players who have an aspiration to play netball in the Hutt Valley (school - collegiate grades, club - senior grades). 

The programme will be delivered over four sessions, each with a specific focus to help players prepare for the upcoming season. 

The programme will focus on re-engaging and developing ball skills, movement skills, footwork and netball specific court conditioning. 

The programme is available to participants from year 9 to 13.  (male & female).

These sessions will have a netball specific focus, allowing players to work on their individual fitness through engaging in other other sporting codes and general activity. Back to Netball Programme (Adults & School Leavers) ​​​​​​​

These sessions are designed for new players, school leavers & current senior netball players to come along & get moving ahead of the season. This is also a good opportunity to meet some new people & get an understanding of how each club operates & when trials etc. will be taking place. 

The sessions run for 60 minutes and include the NetballSmart warm up, skill revision/footwork & possibly a game if time permits. 

What to bring

• Netball shoes
• Active wear
• Towel
• Water bottle
• Yoga mat or foam roller if you wish to complete your recovery at the courts post session.
