Competition Format

Four pools will complete in pool play, consisting of two pools of four teams and two pool of five teams.
• Pools A and B will have 4 Round Robin Games
• Pools C and D will have 3 Round Robin Games
• These pool games will determine the:
o Top4 (Cup = first placed in each pool)
o 5th – 8th (Plate = second placed in each pool)
o 9th – 12th (Bowl = third placed in each pool)
o 13th – 16th (Shield = fourth placed in each pool)
o 17th – 18th (Playoff games between 5th Pool A and 5th Pool B)
• The Cup, Plate, Bowl and Shield will have semi-finals, and finals.

Senior Girls

Competition Format

Four pools will complete in pool play, consisting of three pools of three teams and one pool of four teams.
• Pools A, B and C will have 2 Round Robin Games
• Pool D will have 3 Round Robin Games
• These pool games will determine the:
o Top4 (Cup = first placed in each pool),
o 5th – 8th (Plate = second placed in each pool)
o 9th – 12th (Bowl = third placed in each pool)
▪ 3rd Pool C and 4th Pool D will play a Quarter Final to determine who plays in the Bowl Semi Final
• The Cup, Plate, Bowl and Shield will have semi-finals, and finals. Please note - there will not be 3v4, 7v8, and 11v12 playoffs.

General Rules

General Rules

Game times will consist of two 10 minute halves, with a 1 minute break. Teams are not permitted to change benches at the break.
No teams are permitted to warm-up on the playing court prior to their game and must be ready to kick-off at the scheduled time.
Clocks are not stopped for any reason, except serious injuries.
A player will be suspended for one (1) match if they receive two (2) yellow cards during the tournament. Single cards will be wiped following pool play.
A player who is sent off during a match will serve a minimum suspension of 1 match. Any infringements that, according to the NZ Football Disciplinary Code, require further suspension will be at the discretion of the Competitions Manager.
A player who receives two (2) red cards will be suspended for the rest of the tournament.
Any coaches, managers or staff who are expelled from the Technical Area will serve an automatic one (1) match suspension, unless the Competitions Manager specifies a further suspension.
All players must be wearing shin-pads before taking the field of play.
Only players, coaches & support staff are permitted to be inside the Technical Area.
All team members, except the goalkeeper, must be wearing an identical kit with numbers.
The away team must change their kit (or wear bibs) where there is a clash of shirts/socks.
Knockout games where the score is level at the end of normal time, will be determined by kicks from the penalty spot per the Laws of the Game.
A team’s accumulated points will determine pool position. In the case of teams being level on accumulated points, positions will be determined (in order) by the highest goal difference, the higher number of goals scored, the goal difference from the matches played between the teams, the team with the superior disciplinary record, a ballot drawn by the Competition Manager.

Other Information

All draws, results and standings will be displayed outside the Sport Control Office next to Court 7 at the ASB Sports Centre.
The Health & Safety Plan for the event will be circulated with this document and available to view in the Sport Control Office.
All issues, incidents and queries must be raised with the Event Manager.
All balls, bibs and referees will be provided by Capital Football.
Prize giving will be conducted directly after each of the respective ‘cup’ finals.
Wellington Sports Medics will provide free physiotherapy throughout the day.
Please ensure all balls and bibs are left on the court after each match.
