Free Hip Hop Workshop

Calling all Zespri AIMS Games Hip Hop dancers! Join us on event day for a free workshop with Gema Whitford-Joynt.

This workshop is open to all dancers registered in a Zespri AIMS Games Hip Hop crew (and Hip Hop managers, coaches and choreographers too!)

Hip Hop Finals

The Zespri AIMS Games Hip Hop Finals is a show not to be missed! Witness 44 of the best intermediate-aged Hip Hop crews in the country battle it out for the title, a showcase of funky costumes, attitudes and smooth moves.

Hip Hop is one of the 27 sporting codes delivered at the 2025 Zespri AIMS Games, attended by over 14,000 Year 7 and 8 students.  The performances promise to be high intensity, upbeat and action packed.

Give Back Games Coastal Clean-Up

Venue: Hopukiore (Mount Drury) Reserve, Mount Maunganui

The Coastal Clean-up is back! Join us at the beautiful Hopukiore (Mount Drury Reserve) in Mount Maunganui. We love seeing how passionate our athletes are about protecting Tauranga’s stunning beaches. Everything you’ll need on the day will be provided, just make sure you bring covered shoes.

There will also be spot prizes and a free BBQ!

Waterfront Movie - 'Eddie the Eagle' & 'Cool Runnings'

Head along to the Tauranga waterfront for the Night Owl Cinema, which will be screening not one, but two sport-focused family classics to celebrate the 2025 Zespri AIMS Games, proudly supported by Tauranga City Council.

Make sure you are dressed for the cool evening air, bring something to sit on, and a blanket to keep cozy. Bring a picnic or grab a bite to eat from one of the many awesome local cafes and restaurants in the city. The movie will be on the Waterfront, right next door to the awesome destination playground.

Give Back Games Tree Planting

Date: Wednesday 3 September 2025

Venue: Kōpūrererua Valley (Marshalls Avenue entrance), Tauranga

Dig in and help plant trees at Kōpurererua Valley! This 300-hectare wetland, once home to the people of Ngāi Tamarāwaho, is a place of deep cultural and ecological significance undergoing restoration. The tree planting day is your chance to get your hands in the earth and be part of that legacy. Everything you’ll need on the day will be provided, just make sure you bring covered shoes.

EVES Endurance Bar

Tauranga Racecourse Funzone

Head to the Tauranga Racecourse for a free afternoon of fun activities! Challenge your friends to a Hungerball match, get your face painted or check out the lawn games. Netball Under Lights

Come down to Netball Under Lights and support the 157 Netball teams playing at the 2025 Zespri AIMS Games!

It will be action packed off the court too, with roving entertainers, face painting, food vendors, a photo booth and the Zespri AIMS Games merchandise pop-up shop. While you’re there, test your strength on the EVES Endurance Bar - see how long you can hold on for a shot at winning a $100 Prezzy® Card!

Silver Fern Activation Zone

Zespri AIMS Games Pilot Bay Plunge

Mount Mainstreet has teamed up with the Zespri AIMS Games to bring you the Pilot Bay Plunge - a refreshing way to celebrate your week of competition. Rip Rugby Finals Under Lights

Date: Thursday 4 September 2025

Venue: Bay Oval, Blake Park

The 2025 Zespri AIMS Games Rip Rugby Finals will be played under lights at Bay Oval International Cricket Ground. This year's Games sees a record-breaking 75 Rip Rugby teams entered and the local community and athletes playing in other sporting codes are encouraged to come along and enjoy the finals fun!

It will be action packed off the field too, with roving entertainers, face painting, food vendors, a photo booth, the Zespri AIMS Games merchandise pop-up shop and pre-finals performances.
