Training is ideally suited to any staff or volunteers who are operating in a capacity where they’re either delivery learning and development (L&D) or supporting coaches in trainings and/or games. Some examples are those:

National Coach Developer Trainer Programme training
Sport New Zealand is pleased to announce that it will implement a fourth iteration of its National Coach Developer Trainer Programme. The National Coach Developer Trainer Programme seeks to continuously build a system of Coach Developer Trainers across Aotearoa.
The 15-month programme will be nationally led by Sport NZ’s Sport Development Team and locally supported by experienced mentors to enable trainers to learn and grow in their own environment.
The main objectives of the programme are to:
• Build the capability, connections, and collaboration of selected trainers to impact self, others and the system
• Create the foundations to maintain successful communities of practice post the programme
The programme is for Coach Developer Trainers who design and facilitate learning and development for Coach Developers. Their work can include:
There will be up to 12 trainers accepted into the programme, starting in October 2025.
Applications are open until 5pm on Friday 29 August, 2025
Applicants will be need be available for in person learning 21, 22, 23 October 2025 and 19, 20 May 2026. Please refer to the link below for the Application process.
