What is Twilight Netball?

Twilight is a 7-a-side Netball Competition run at Hataitai Courts (outdoors) and Ākau Tangi Sports Centre (indoors). Netball Wellington Centre offers Women’s & Mixed, with levels from Competitive through to Social. We maintain our fair-play rule throughout this competition and encourage all teams to show these during games. Click the Fair-Play Rule button to learn more. 

Games are 40 minutes and are a great way to maintain fitness, meet new people and foster team building within organisations. Our Mama Brown Twilight competition is open to adult teams and college teams (following the age criteria in our rules). 

This year we also have forms for umpires and individuals interested in our Twilight leagues.

TERM 1 (SUMMER) 

Monday nights at Hataitai Netball Courts - 8-week competition starts 9 February to 30 March ​​​​​​​- Cost TBC

Wednesday nights at Ākau Tangi Sports Centre - 9-week competition starts 4 February to 1 April – Cost TBC

Thursday nights at Ākau Tangi Sports Centre -9-week competition starts 5 February to 2 April – Cost TBC

Plus $15 CASH ONLY per team, per game, to be collected prior to the game each week as an Umpire Contribution.​​​​

TERM 2 (AUTUMN)

Wednesday nights at Ākau Tangi Sports Centre - 9-week competition starts 29 April to 1 July (NO GAMES Wed 17 June - Premier Promotion/Relegation) - Cost TBC

Thursday nights at Ākau Tangi Sports Centre - 9-week competition starts 30 April to 2 July – Cost TBC

Plus $15 CASH ONLY per team, per game, to be collected prior to the game each week as an Umpire Contribution. 

Registrations open mid April 2026. 

TERM 3 (WINTER)

Wednesday nights at Ākau Tangi Sports Centre - 10-week competition starts 22 July to 23 September – Cost TBC

Thursday nights at Ākau Tangi Sports Centre - 9-week competition starts 23 July to 24 September (NO GAMES Thurs 10 Sept - Event at venue) –Cost TBC

Plus $15 CASH ONLY per team, per game, to be collected prior to the game each week as an Umpire Contribution.

TERM 4 (SPRING)

Monday nights at Hataitai Netball Courts – 8-week competition - starts 12 October to 7 December (NO GAMES Mon 26 October - Labour Day) ​​​​​​​- Cost TBC

Wednesday nights at Ākau Tangi Sports Centre - 9-week competition starts 14 October to 9 December – Cost TBC

Thursday nights at Ākau Tangi Sports Centre - 9-week competition starts 15 October to 10 December – Cost TBC 

Plus $15 CASH ONLY per team, per game, to be collected prior to the game each week as an Umpire Contribution.
