Secondary School Umpire Workshops

Our umpire panel members are interested to know what secondary school umpires would like help with as they are happy to share some techniques that will make your umpiring a little easier if there is enough interest.

In 2024 two free learning opportunities were offered for secondary school umpires, both held on Saturdays in July at Hataitai Netball Pavilion.

Topics covered included:

• Introductions & Umpire Techniques over some kai
• Learn about Obstruction & Contact

These workshops provided a perfect next-step for umpires already whistling on junior collegiate, collegiate, senior and prem-reserve grades. No prior experience is necessary. Participants were free to attend one or both as able - both of course meant gaining maximum knowledge.
