Youth Development Programme

We’re excited to continue offering an outstanding opportunity for our young people through the Foundation Clinic, who also provide our onsite physiotherapy services.

Designed specifically for students in Years 7–13, the ACG Youth Development Programme (YDP) helps young people build strong movement foundations, boost confidence, and support both sporting ambitions and lifelong health — all through fun, safe, and effective exercise.

What the Programme Offers

Under the expert care of our Physiotherapist and Strength Coaching Team—led by Craig Newland and Clio Casserly—students will learn:

  • Fundamental movement skills
  • Safe and effective strength exercises
  • How to move with confidence in sport, training, and daily life

The focus is on developing a broad “movement toolbox” so students feel empowered and capable, whether they are seasoned athletes or simply looking to lead an active, healthy lifestyle.

This programme is suitable for:

  • Students building everyday fitness
  • Those recovering from injury
  • Athletes preparing for new challenges or performance goals within their chosen sport(s)

Our aim is to ensure every participant leaves with a positive, enjoyable experience of exercise and a renewed sense of what their body can do.

Why Strength Training Matters

Consistent strength training can increase overall strength by 30% to 50% in just 8–12 weeks. To grow and maintain that progress, training twice per week is ideal — exactly what this programme provides.
